Text Messaging Terms (SMS)
By providing your mobile telephone number to Pazer Epstein Jaffe Fein Gozenput, P.C. (PEJFG), you acknowledge and agree that Pazer Epstein Jaffe Fein Gozenput, P.C. may send text messages to your mobile number related to the details of your case, as well as to request documents, send status updates, and reminders about important dates or notifications. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency may vary. Mobile information may be shared with third parties/affiliates for firm marketing/promotional purposes. PEJFG collects verbally the “opt in” request for SMS Texting services during your initial interview with the firm. You may opt out of using SMS texting services at any time by replying “STOP” to stop receiving messages or reply “HELP” for additional assistance.
No message sent via text should be considered protected by Attorney / Client privilege, nor is it considered “private and confidential.” Before considering the use of the texting service, consider your message and do not provide any Personal Health Information data, nor any legal documents, government or otherwise, without considering privacy. If the text message being considered as a communication for a case, and requires Attorney / Client privilege, or there is any concern for privacy, then the sender should consider whether the texting service is the best choice for the communication.
PEJFG is using a third party vendor to manage the texts between our Client Case Management system, the Attorney, and the client. There may be other business partners of those third parties that have access to the message.
PEJFG is not responsible for any SMS or texting charges that may or may not result in the use of the service.
This is an “opt-in” service. It is not a requirement of PEJFG that any client uses this service. PEJFG will never ask a client for any users account, passwords, emails, or personal health records using the texting service. They don’t have to submit to the service, but it may help them and is available so long as it serves them.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles.
