Two sent to hospital after two-car crash in New York

In an instant, a car accident can alter a victim’s life forever. At the moment when two cars collide, a number of things are spawned that can instantly change a victim’s life. For example, a victim may suffer injuries that require long-term medical treatment. This treatment can be very expensive, leaving victim’s with a myriad of bills that can be difficult to shoulder.

Two women were sent to the hospital following a recent two-car crash in New York. According to reports, a 23-year-old woman attempted to make a U-turn while traveling on a New York street. She attempted the U-turn because, as she told police, she spotted a turtle on the road. She did not, however, see the Audi that was driving behind her. According to one of the occupants of the vehicle, the 23-year-old woman’s vehicle stopped suddenly and everything happened very fast. As a result of the sudden stop, the Audi broadsided the woman’s car.

The 23-year-old woman had to be extricated from her car via a hydraulic rescue tool. She was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for back pain and a left leg injury. An occupant of the other vehicle was also taken to the hospital. She received treatment for chest and head pain. Two other occupants also suffered minor pain in their shoulders and head as the result of the airbags going off, as well as seat belt impact.

Serious injuries are not uncommon following car accidents. They can burden victims with great physical pain. While suffering from this pain, victims should not also have to endure financial stresses. Pursuing compensation from a driver who is suspected of negligence can help victims potentially alleviate some of the financial burden.
